Roads Uncharted

S2 E30: Venya

Episode Summary

Eight, Arthas, and Rou learn the identity of the mysterious cloaked figure, who shares a terrifying vision.

Episode Notes

On the other side of the door is a lovely sitting room, sunlight gleaming through leaded glass. In one of the chairs sits a figure cloaked in silver robes, their face obscured by a hood. The group immediately recognizes that this is the individual they saw upon their arrival in Kidohlva.

They reveal their name is Venya, and that a week before the group arrived they had a vision.

Upon sharing the details of the vision, the four of them start to discuss the meaning behind it and Rou shares some doubts as to why they’ve been chosen to hear it. When he questions Venya’s motives, they admit they can’t force them to solve this mystery. For a week they’ve been haunted by this vision, and now it is up to the group to determine what to do with this information.

Upbeat piano intro ends[00:28]

Staccato piano music fades in [00:28]

Kappa (as Rou): Hello! This is Rou, and you’re listening to Roads Uncharted. Last time on Roads Uncharted, we were finishing up our studies in the library. All the shenanigans we were up to were quite enthralling, and on our last day, something strange happened at the end of the day. All of the library attendants left at the same time, it’s quite odd. The doors locked. A strange feeling ran down my back, and as we started to grow more and more suspicious, Arthas tried to break through the door and then collapsed. Rushing over to help, I don’t know who, who went first but I collapsed. Then we awoke in some sort of strange, dark abyss. There was a voice with ominous words, and then a doorway filled with light. Not wasting any time to play a prank on Eight, I decided to have a little bit of fun. And that’s where we are, waiting on Eight.

Music shifts to a somber, mysterious tune [01:46]

Dax: I can’t wait for the day that Eight plays a prank on you, Rou. Each of you walked through this doorway of light. This blinding, warm light, out of the darkness and the abyss in which you found yourselves. First Arthas, then Rou, then Eight. You step into this light, and what you see before you when your eyes finally adjust, is a room of bright, veiny marble. You can hear soft music playing in the background, you can see accommodations. Chairs, sofas, almost as if you were walking into somebody’s sitting room. The light starts to become a little dimmer and you realize that perhaps the light was a little bit more artificial in order to entice you. Now it seems like standard sunlight peering through leaded glass. Sitting in one of the larger stone chairs on velvet cushions, you see an individual. Their face hooded and covered, wearing silver robes. That voice again.

Dax (as the robed figure): [femme voice] Well, took you long enough.

Kappa: We’ve seen this silver cloak before, right?

Dax: Yep, on your first day.

Kappa (as Rou): Took us long, hold on. You’re that person that we saw on the first day we were here!

Wren (as Eight): Oh! Yes, the one that nodded at us and then walked away suspiciously.

Dax: The hood nods once for yes.

Wren (as Eight): Just like that! Yes, wait a moment. Friend Rou. You’re safe.

Kappa (as Rou): Oh yes, I’m quite safe.

Wren (as Eight): Did the danger pass?

Kappa (as Rou): No, no. There was just, just a little bit of a fib. You were taking a little while.

Wren (as Eight): A fib. That’s another way to say a… lie?

Kappa (as Rou): A joke.

Wren (as Eight): Did you mean a jibe?

Kappa (as Rou): What is a jibe?

Wren (as Eight): A goof.

Kappa (as Rou): A goof, yes! Sure, a goof.

Neil (as Arthas): A jape, if you will.

Kappa (as Rou): A jape, yes. Jape, jibe, joke.

Wren (as Eight): You were playing a joke… like a prank?

Kappa (as Rou): A prank, yes.

Wren (as Eight): I see.

Kappa (as Rou): You understand these, right?

Wren (as Eight): I cannot say I find the humor in it, but if you enjoyed it, I suppose that makes it worthwhile.

Kappa (as Rou): Well now that I, now that I’ve explained it, it’s not as funny. Anyway! You there, in the chair. What do you want? You go through all of this, this spectacle of putting, putting us to sleep. Saying all these weird words when you could have just talked to us. What is this? What’s, what’s this all about? Some sort of secret? Who are you trying to hide from? Where’d you get your cloak? It’s wonderful.

Dax: The important questions. They extend their left hand and gesture at the other seats and sofas that are set about.

Dax (as the robed figure): Do you care to have a seat?

Kappa (as Rou): Sure…

Kappa: I want to circle the chair, look at the seat, if it does not seem trapped, I’ll sit down.

Dax: Okay.

Kappa (as Rou): Well, this is comfy.

Dax: It’s a nice velvet lined cushion. Do Eight or Arthas make any move to sit down or do you both stand there?

Neil: Is there a seat large enough to accommodate me?

Dax: There’s a couple of sofas.

Neil: I’m gonna remain standing, just in case this is another horrible magic trick.

Dax: Okay.

Wren: As Rou is circling the seat that he’s going to take, I will also walk forward and I’ll look towards the person in the robes and say,

Wren (as Eight): While I appreciate your offer, we are travelers. Therefore, owning a piece of furniture would not really be in anyone’s best interests. How would we carry it? Where would we put it?

Kappa (as Rou): Well, answer them.

Dax (as the robed figure): Would you like to sit down, is more what I meant.

Wren (as Eight): Oh.

Wren: I will take a seat.

Dax: The figure slowly removes their hood. And as they do so, you realize they are someone with very dark skin, almost as dark as ebony. They have a bald head and bright silver tattoos along their skull. Their eyes are wide and round and dark brown. Ears come to just the slightest points. They look at each of you in turn and then their eyes land on you, Rou.

Dax (as the robed figure): I did not come to talk to you because I did not feel safe approaching you in person. So, I brought you here, where we could meet on mutual ground. Anything we say here cannot be overheard, it cannot be repeated by unwanted lips.

Kappa (as Rou): And by safe, did you mean safe from us hurting you in any way? Or safe from prying ears and eyes?

Dax (as the robed figure): Both.

Kappa (as Rou): Okay.

Wren (as Eight): Do you mean safe from a powerful force?

Dax (as the robed figure): All of the above.

Kappa (as Rou): I would introduce us, but I feel you already know who we are.

Dax (as the robed figure): I do and I don’t. Perhaps it would make you feel a little safer if I introduced myself. My name is Venya, and I am what they call a Spellweaver.

Wren (as Eight): Oh!

Wren: And my eyes do flash instantly when I hear that.

Wren (as Eight): A Spellweaver! I’ve been looking for another one of you. You are so very hard to find.

Kappa (as Rou): What does that, what does that, that sounds very familiar.

Wren (as Eight): Yes Friend Rou. I told you about Spellweavers the other day.

Kappa (as Rou): That’s right, yes. But you, you know to educate everyone in the room, I know what Spellweavers are...

Wren (as Eight): Spellweavers are potent magic users who during the time of the War of Seven Hells used their magics to summon and bind extraplanar entities to their will, that they might fight on behalf of their sides of the conflict.

Kappa: You’re welcome, audience.

Wren (as Eight): I lost touch with a Spellweaver when I was visiting Isha. And I have been hoping to find another one since. By divine providence, Venya tells me that they are a Spellweaver. I, I apologize. I got way too excited and I have seemingly interrupted you.

Dax: Venya looks a little concerned at first, when you mention that you have been looking for them. Then you, when they hear you say you had run into another one, they look a little less concerned but still more confused than anything.

Dax (as Venya): I’m very surprised that you ran into another of my kind. I wasn’t sure how many of us were left out there. You must surely know that we’ve been in hiding then.

Wren (as Eight): I do. The Spellweaver I met in Isha was in hiding, living under a moniker, serving as a steward at the library in the great city. However, it was shortly after they revealed to me their true nature that a group of marauding cultists arrived, destroyed the city, and kidnapped her.

Music shifts to a tense, melancholy melody [10:11]

Dax (as Venya): Then it appears that me reaching out in this way is… [sighs] It appears it’s already begun. I had a vision, not one week before you arrived. And when I saw the three of you across the way, I felt it in my bones that you were the ones that I had to share it with. I saw an ibis carved of gold on ivory entangled in darkwood vines. I saw teeth gnashing, claws slashing, sword biting. Blood, stone, and sweat. I could hear the screams of thousands of children echoing, almost deafening. And then silence. It was followed by a throaty laugh, the crackle of electricity, and a scream of pain so intense it pierced through all of it.

Dax: Venya stands and starts to pace around the room.

Dax (as Venya): There were images of people in shackles, escorted across a desert and through woods. Clothes were dirty, their backs scarred and bleeding from the lash. Demons and creatures of unimaginable terror guarding them. Following them, their mouths salivating. Flames, destruction. Then darkness. A single face emerged, yellow skin and a balding pate. Eyes like burning coal. I saw an orb of crystal and copper. Electricity. A sickening green. The smell of sulfur. Then it went dark again and then out of the darkness, I saw six gems. A pale light glowing from within, but it was dwindling. And then everything went dark. I’ve been pondering since then, what it could mean. And I don’t know. Not entirely. Does any of this sound familiar to any of you?

Kappa (as Rou): I don’t know what an ibis is, but everything else does not… I understand what it is or what’s going on, but no. None of it seems familiar.

Wren: In response to you, Rou, I turn and I lift up the part of my cloak kind of near my neck and I point to an image of a long necked, long beaked, long legged bird that is etched into my chestplate.

Kappa (as Rou): Oh, okay. I just thought it was a bird.

Dax: Venya gasps and tentatively walks closer to you, Eight. They hold out their hand with their fingers extended as if to touch, and then retract their fingers.

Dax (as Venya): May, may I?

Wren (as Eight): May you what?

Dax (as Venya): Touch.

Wren: I turn so that they can touch easily.

Wren (as Eight): Yes, of course.

Wren: Question for you, GM.

Dax: Mhmm?

Wren: The weird magician…

Dax: Mhmm.

Wren: Was he yellow-skinned with fiery eyes? I remember him being bald.

Dax: Mhmm.

Wren: Okay.

Wren (as Eight): While I cannot say for certain that I understand the whole context of your vision, there are some pieces that I might be able to provide some insight with respect to. Obviously, in my mind, the ibis carved of gold and ivory, tangled in vines would likely mean myself. The teeth gnashing, and the claws extended might refer to my companion Rou. And the blood, stone, and sweat, a fairly clear reference to our tall companion, Simply Arthas.

Wren: I sit back, kind of settling into the chair. After my original excitement, I had leaned forward closer to Venya.

Wren (as Eight): The screams of thousands of children would likely be what led us to Kidohlva in the first place. See, we’re here to discover what caused thousands of children to go missing from the city of Saleen, far across the continent. Not more than three months past.

Dax: Venya, now that you’ve given permission, reaches forward, while you’re talking. Kind of traces their fingers over the etching of the ibis. And when you comment about the children, they stand up very straight and look at the three of you. A look of concern over their face.

Dax (as Venya): How many children did you say?

Wren (as Eight): It was all of the children in the city. Cursory estimates had it well over a thousand.

Dax: Venya’s brow kind of creases.

Dax (as Venya): This does not portent for well and good. Look, I, I am relegated here in order to stay safe. Something sent me this vision, something is telling me that the three of you needed to hear it.

Kappa (as Rou): Something is watching us?

Dax (as Venya): Perhaps.

Kappa (as Rou): What could have that power? That reach? That level of clairvoyance?

Dax (as Venya): There’s only one person that I ever knew that would have had such capabilities, but it’s my understanding that… [chuckles] There’s no way that he would still be alive.

Kappa (as Rou): I thought all things were possible with magic?

Dax (as Venya): Most things are possible with magic. You can learn to extend your life up to a point, but there’s always a cost. Even the Moldir who are born innately able to wield magic have not been able to unlock those kinds of secrets for eternity. And considering this person has been exiled for several centuries, I don’t think that they would have access to those kinds of resources. This is extremely disturbing.

Wren (as Eight): This individual you’re referencing, it wouldn’t be the face from your vision, would it? With yellow skin, eyes of burning coal?

Dax (as Venya): Perhaps. The person I am thinking of is Maruk. If you know your history, Maruk was Emperor Dinai’s advisor. But he was human, and I remember during the war that he had a long white beard even then. Now yes, it’s possible could he have shaved his beard. Perhaps, but I’ve never seen him without it. He certainly didn’t have yellow skin. Not back then.

Wren (as Eight): Well, the face from your vision, by descriptors alone that matches the visage of the wizard that kidnapped the Spellweaver of Isha.

Dax (as Venya): Is that the first Spellweaver you know of to have gone missing? Are there more?

Wren (as Eight): If there are, I cannot say. You are only the second one to have revealed themselves to me.

Dax: Venya nods, kind of like ‘yeah, I mean, that makes sense’.

Wren (as Eight): Friend Rou.

Wren: And I’ll turn to look at Rou.

Wren (as Eight): Technology is far more advanced in the lands that you are from. Are you familiar with anything that might produce sickening green electricity? And the stench of sulfur?

Kappa (as Rou): Sulfur, yes. But I am not an alchemist. I’m not an artillerist or inventor of any sort, so… I mean, it certainly is possible. I’ve seen weirder things, but as to what could possibly do such a thing, I’m unsure. I mean, the smell of sulfur, probably some month old eggs. Sulfur itself, brimstone. But no, I don’t know anything that could produce such an effect. I, maybe magic? I’m quite unsure, it was very.. maybe a deity? I don’t know.

Wren (as Eight): It’s possible.

Wren: And I’ll nod.

Wren (as Eight): That a deity may have control over elements in that way.

Kappa (as Rou): But maybe, I mean, I assume we’re going back to, I mean, this isn’t Kidohlva, right? I presume we’re going back to the library. There’s handfuls of information, probably do some research? If this is something that we want to do? I’m getting ahead of myself. Venya, what do you want out of this? You wanted to share it with us, I understand. It’s very clear from the vision that we are the ones that should have been - that are involved in this vision. But what do you want out of this? What is your diagnosis here?

Dax (as Venya): Considering, at least some of you, are already on a mission to find children that were stolen. Children that quite possibly are the screams that I was hearing in my vision, I don’t know if I can rightly task you with finding out this mystery. Solving this riddle. But every fiber of my being is telling me that something very, very wrong is going to happen. And there is a chance to stop it. Something is telling me that the three of you are the ones that are to be involved in figuring this out but I, from my own person, can’t task you with doing such. That has to be your decision. If whatever is coming can be stopped, that is what I would like.

Kappa (as Rou): Then you think we have the means? As far as I know, we’re just simple travelers. At best, adventurers. And all of a sudden we’re thrown into some great controversy. At least I am, I’m not sure about my companions here.

Dax (as Venya): I’m not sure. I don’t pretend to know the will of the Gods. I don’t pretend to understand everything that I see, every bit of knowledge that comes across my path. All I know is this vision has been haunting me for a week, and when I sighted the three of you, I felt nothing but relief. So it’s a matter of, you have been presented with this information. What do you do with it?

Kappa: I’m going to look over at Arthas and Eight, just trying to get a read on how they’re feeling. While still, while still looking at them,

Kappa (as Rou): You know, I’m just someone that came looking, I’m just someone that crossed an ocean looking for a better way of life. If this is some sort of great destiny, I mean sure, we’d like to help. I’d like to help here and there as best I can, but this is something larger. Something, this is the stuff of legend. I don’t even have formal training.

Dax (as Venya): Do you happen to know the legend of the Seven Swords?

Music shifts to a gentle piano [23:34]

Kappa: Do I happen to know the legend of the Seven Swords? I don’t know GM, you tell me. Is it common?

Dax: I’m trying to think, if it would have been common on the western continent. You probably would have heard -

Kappa: Maybe like a version?

Dax: A version of it, yeah.

Kappa: Okay.

Dax (as Venya): When the war broke out and the imperial army was summoning demons to strengthen their numbers, a calling went out for volunteers. We, the Spellweavers, were to summon our own creatures of the Wild Hunt - fiends, imps. Demon against demon. Unfortunately, wielding that much power can also make you weak in other ways. We needed protectors. So we put out a call for volunteers. We interviewed mercenaries, princes, farmers, sons and daughters. We found a group of individuals who were willing to risk life and limb to make sure that we were protected on the battlefield. And each battle they fought valiantly.

They dubbed themselves the Seven Swords, and wore a crest of their own making. A circle, seven lines intersecting. Unfortunately, they were lost to us in that final battle. Maruk broke through our barrier spell and all seven of them disappeared from sight. Never to be seen or heard from again. We had a couple of noble bearing, yes. But we also had some that had not a coin, a name, no property, no nothing that they could call their own. They didn’t have formal training, and yet over 400 years later, we’re talking of them. I would say it is best to not discount your abilities before you know the results.

Kappa (as Rou): That’s all well and good. Eight, we came here, well here, we came to Kidohlva looking for information. What were we going to do with that? Were we going to ride into battle with the information that we had and rescue the thousands of children? Or were we going to pass this off to someone else? Someone like the Seven Swords?

Wren (as Eight): I suppose I never thought quite that far ahead. Our original task was to learn what had happened to the children. I suppose if a means to return them presented itself, my original traveling companions and I would have taken it. At this point, I honestly am not certain what one stalwart mountain warrior, one ambitious traveler from another land, and one homemaker can care to do against insurmountable odds and cursed magics and summoned fiends from another dimension. But, if this vision were tasking us with some sort of clear goal, perhaps the three of us working together can make that happen. After all, look at what we’ve accomplished so far!

Neil (as Arthas): Yes.

Wren (as Eight): We had no training as far as investigations were concerned and yet we still were able to solve a murder and apprehend the person who was responsible for it. We also were able to address an infestation of creatures that were terrorizing a nearby settlement. We’ve also been fairly successful with negotiating with new people and new cultures. So, I suppose we are of greater capability than we might give ourselves credit.

Kappa (as Rou): I have done things that have, that are further beyond what I had originally anticipated. I thought I was going to go village to village, learning things, fighting no one.

Wren (as Eight): If Maruk indeed still remains in some form, despite all odds, whether it be by the powers of some sort of infernal magics or a demonic pact of sorts, his existence would be a threat to all life on this planet. For wasn’t it originally the Emperor’s goal to put all lands and societies under his great banner? I read that in a book that I had at the library earlier today. And without the might of the Seven Swords, without the might of anyone to stand against them, it is plausible they could succeed.

Wren: I kind of look down.

Wren (as Eight): Mother always told me that bad things happen when good people allow them. I suppose I will do my part to make sure that the vision does not come to pass. But I would ask that only of myself, I would not demand my friends do the same.

Kappa: I shift in my chair slightly, turning to Venya.

Kappa (as Rou): I took this journey because I saw something wrong back home. Finding a solution, finding some way to change. You are very fortunate that I’m traveling with Eight here, because otherwise, I would not have framed it in any other way. There is something brewing, I feel that. Ever since I’ve stepped onto this continent. If something or someone doesn’t do anything about it, or have the capability to do it, well. They’re just as complicit. And I don’t mean to be an accomplice for evil. Do you think I should get a sword?

Dax (as Venya): I, perhaps, might have something in my old trunks in my belongings that might help you. You’re staying at the Silver Pearl, are you not?

Kappa (as Rou): I don’t know how comfortable I am that you know that.

Dax: Venya kind of smirks a little bit.

Dax (as Venya): It’s not hard to find a Giant-Kin in Kidohlva.

Kappa (as Rou): Fair.

Wren: I look at Venya and I actually look a little disappointed, like I kind of slouch a little bit.

Wren (as Eight): Well, that was decidedly a less magical answer than I was expecting.

Dax (as Venya): I will make arrangements to have some packages dropped off with the innkeeper there. I don’t know how helpful they will be, but perhaps they will do you some good. They’ll certainly do better with you than they will with me here.

Dax: Venya kind of gestures.

Dax (as Venya): Speaking of Giant-Kin, you’ve been awfully quiet.

Neil (as Arthas): Much of this feels out of my scope, but I will follow Rou and Eight directly into Hell if need be.

Dax (as Venya): Well, hopefully your paths don’t take you into Hell. But who knows? Stranger things have happened.

Wren (as Eight): If any of the Gods do have a hand in the things that have befallen this continent, we shall mete out justice. Venya, do you know of any way to track a Spellweaver? Or locate one?

Dax (as Venya): No. I have spent a great deal of time studying it in hopes that I might be able to find out the fate of my companions. I can only assume that they are alive or dead depending on who they were and where they might have run off to. Not every place is safe for us.

Wren (as Eight): It would seem so. I suppose categorizing them into two groups, alive or dead, would cover most of the scope. That said, you wouldn’t happen to have a list of names or have memory of how many of you there were? Or were your kind beyond number?

Dax (as Venya): At the time, there were about a dozen. And I know that two of them were slain in battle, when the Swords disappeared. So at most, there’d be ten.

Wren (as Eight): Leaving us with eight unaccounted for. Seven Swords and eight Spellweavers. Nine, if you consider the fact that one has been stolen. Kidnapped? You cannot steal a person. That’s less than twenty people to find! That seems doable.

Kappa (as Rou): You must consider the thousand children.

Wren (as Eight): Well, that will be one location. So, realistically it’s like finding one person.

Kappa: Rou is, his eyes are darting around, thinking.

Kappa (as Rou): That’s if you assume they’re all in the same location.

Wren (as Eight): I suppose so. Though, I have no reason to think they would be separated. Why steal thousands of children in the first place if you were just going to scatter them afterwards anyways? That would be like picking berries and then before making your pie, throwing them back into the garden.

Kappa (as Rou): Yes, but you’re not trying to hide your berries. Wouldn’t you just eat your berries right away? After the pie?

Wren (as Eight): I suppose not.

Kappa (as Rou): And then eat the pie.

Wren (as Eight): No, the berries would go into the pie. So, in this metaphorical sense, could say that hiding the children would be like making the pie.

Kappa (as Rou): And then someone ate the children! Oh we, we need to find them.

Wren (as Eight): We don’t know what is happening to the children. It is possible they are being eaten. I would like to think that’s not what is happening, but -

Kappa (as Rou): How, how fast could you eat one thousand children?

Wren (as Eight): Depends on the size of the person and how hungry they are.

Kappa (as Rou): And the children too, the size of the children.

Wren (as Eight): That is correct. And then it would also depend on the physical activity that the child had performed in their life. I have been told that the more an animal moves, the harder it is to cook and eat.

Dax (as Venya): I think we can stop talking about eating children.

Kappa (as Rou): Listen, you want us on this quest, you’re going to have to deal with it.

Wren (as Eight): This is more of a, a philosophical discussion on food.

Dax (as Venya): But you’re using children as the example. Aside from that, I’m not, I also don’t have that much left in me to keep this spell going.

Kappa (as Rou): Oh, this is a spell?

Dax (as Venya): Yes, this is a spell.

Kappa (as Rou): Magic is just so cool!

Wren (as Eight): That would make sense. If anyone can do it, a Spellweaver can. That sounds agreeable.

Kappa (as Rou): So, what? If we ever want to talk to you, do we have to wait until you need to talk to us, we’re going to fall asleep, find ourselves here? Can we find you out in the real world?

Dax (as Venya): I…

Kappa (as Rou): Is that safe?

Dax (as Venya): Do not write to me. I need to stay hidden as much as possible. Hence why we are meeting under such circumstances. As I said, I will see what I have in my belongings. Perhaps I have a, a stone of some sort that we can communicate through. So, or something. I’ll see if I have something. Or if not, maybe I can enchant something.

Kappa (as Rou): In the meanwhile, we should probably prepare for this epic journey.. quest. I mean to find some sort of weaponry, at least a staff, you know. I used a staff before, it was wood and it’s gone now. Maybe, or maybe a metal staff? Yeah, maybe something more sturdy.

Wren (as Eight): The other question is where do we begin? The vision had lines of prisoners being moved through the desert and then the forest. Arthas and I have been through the desert and through the forest that adjoins to it. We did not see any indicators of a long trail of prisoners being moved through the wilderness.

Kappa (as Rou): Maybe they’re there now? Maybe that is the fate to come if we fail.

Wren (as Eight): That’s awfully bleak but possible. Perhaps this adventure might take us to the ancient strongholds of the Emperor’s exiled kingdom.

Dax: You start to see bits and pieces of the area around you start to disappear. Unused chairs flicker and dissipate, lights begin to dim.

Kappa (as Rou): It’s like we’re almost out of time. Is there anything you wish to impart on us, Venya, before you can no longer hold the spell? Maybe writing down the prophecy?

Dax (as Venya): I will write down the prophecy for you, yes and include it in anything I find. I will simply reiterate, I cannot charge you with this task but perhaps, if you do manage to take it on, I hope that all of the luck of Vuldarin goes with you.

Dax: Everything goes dark. Eight, you are the first to come back to consciousness. Yeah, consciousness in quotes. Your vision lights back up, you feel your body return to normal. You don’t feel that weird slackness. Rou, you feel yourself start to wake up, almost as if you had taken one of the deepest rests you’ve ever had. Arthas, you wake up at the door and as you’re blinking your eyes open, the door opens and you hear the Headmaster say,

Dax (as the Headmaster): [femme voice, British accent] What on earth happened here? I was told that the door was locked and I heard a pounding. What’s going on?

Dax: And that is the end of that.

Wren: I don’t believe it!

Kappa: Season finale!

[everyone cheers]

Wren (as Eight): My name is Eight and I have been Eight.

Kappa: My name is Kappa and I have been Rou.

Neil: I’m Neil, I was Arthas. Thanks for listening everybody.
