Rou spends the night in the company of a Packless, and learns something new about himself in the process.
As Rou relaxes after a long day of travel, he hears a twig snapping just outside of camp. On alert, he tries to get Eight’s attention and realizes that his friend appears to have been deactivated. Braving the wilderness on his own, he finds the source of the noise: a young woman who believes him to be a “Packless”.
Rou spends the evening with her, discussing the pros and cons of packs and being out on your own. He learns that she has been without a pack of her own for a long time, and eventually she offers to take him out on a moonlit hunt.
