The trio leave Sparrow’s Landing, and during their journey Rou hears a mysterious call.
Deciding to take the long way to the Dread Wastes, the group prepares for a trip to Duskhollow where a job awaits them. They buy some new camping supplies, and take advantage of their newfound wealth by renting a carriage and a mule for the journey. The first day of travel goes well and they’re able to find a pleasant spot to camp for the evening.
Trix and Eight make dinner while Rou sets up the new tent. While they enjoy a nice meal, Eight attempts to contact Lady Benjamina using the sending stone she gave them. Not getting through, they stash it back in their pack. As Rou settles himself in the carriage, his tired body ready to rest, he hears a howl in the distance.
