The party reconvenes and attempts to prevent capture when they’re caught by some guards.
Trix and Faerlin, having met no resistance, head off toward the barracks. Sneaking through the fortress, they are able to avoid detection and arrive at their destination surprised to find Rou and Eight aren’t there yet. They wait for a bit before going off to search for their companions. Meanwhile, Rou and Eight have been surrounded by guards. Looking around the room, Rou notices that there is a large chandelier above and cuts the rope to try and trap their potential captors.
One guard is trapped by the chandelier, leaving Rou and Eight to engage the remaining guards in combat. Trix and Faerlin soon round the corner and Trix immediately joins in on the fight. The party’s attacks seem ineffective, but they’re able to dodge the retaliation from the guards. When one of them lunges at Eight with a halberd and missteps, Faerlin takes the opportunity to hold a knife to his throat and stall the fight.
